TOP 5 BEST BROWSERS

BEST BROWSER OVERALL IS "FIRE FOX 3"

Firefox remains top-ranked web browser for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux users. It is the most-customizable web browser, with thousands of add-ins available. Reviews say Firefox 3 and the even-faster 3.1 beta are at the top, using less memory than Firefox 2 and other improvements as well. Both Firefox 3 and 3.1 competitor the new Google Chrome for speed, are much faster and use less system resources than Internet Explorer 8.

Enhanced Firefox browser    "FLOCK 2(BETA)"

Reviews recommend Flock 2 for those who "live on the Web" because it has all the speed, security and options of Firefox 3 but builds in a blog editor, photo-uploader and big sidebar to keep present with communal networking friends and RSS feeds. A horizontal photo bar shows thumbnails from photo-sharing sites. For those who love multitasking, this is a grand browser choice, but for Windows users who just want fast, simple browsing, reviews recommend the modest Google Chrome.

Fast browsing and search        "GOOGLE CHROME"

The Google Chrome browser takes a modest approach, stripping down to essential browsing with an ultra-simple, instinctive interface. Reviewers find it very fast, with excellent search features, confidential browsing and the best crash protection available. It also makes it probable to use Google desktop applications offline, and users can search the text of pages in the browser's history. The main drawbacks are fairly prehistoric bookmarking plus the be short of of customization. For those who want RSS feeds and many other options within the browser, reviews advocate Firefox 3 (free), saying it's just as fast but much more customizable.

Best for older computers    "OPERA 95"

Reviews and tests recommend Opera as fast and lean, particularly for older or underpowered computers apt to bog down on the resource-hungry Firefox, Chrome or IE7 and IE8 browsers. In spite of its small size, Opera bang the other browsers in compliance with web standards, and it builds in loads of suitable features. Opera runs on more operating systems than other browsers, and it excels in harmonization. Reviews also praise its mobile version. If you have a quite new, powerful computer, however, Firefox 3 is faster and gets top ranking in nearly all contrast reviews.

Best IE revision    "INTERNET EXPLORER 8"

For those who like using Internet Explorer, reviews recommend improvement to Internet Explorer 8 as long as the computer is quite new and powerful. Tests find that IE8 is slower than Firefox, Chrome and Opera, and that it uses more system resources. However, this newest version of Internet Explorer comes with outstanding features built in, with significant improvements over IE7 – including private browsing, context-sensitive right click, color-coded tabs (with related tabs moved together) and better security and search features. Each tab operates unconnectedly so if a site crashes, only that tab closes. Firefox 3 lacks this feature but can re-establish tabs after a crash.
